Hillary Clinton is This Election's Agent of Change

Hillary Clinton is the agent of change in this election. The media narrative about “change” elections like this one is that the Presidency switches parties because the voters want to go in a new direction. But this election, the change that people are looking for is a change from the obstruction and intransigence that’s caused our federal government to bog down.

People want wages to go up. They want more jobs. They want assistance taking care of their young children and elderly parents. They want to watchdogs pushing back against the avarice of Wall Street and corporations. They want their children to be safe on the street. They want health care to be available and affordable. They want to see action taken to combat climate change. They want productive, peaceful immigrants to come out of the shadows and join our society. They want to put an end to rape culture. They want a college education to be a step up and not a millstone around the necks of graduates. They want to end the scourge of gun violence and deaths that make a mockery of our claim to be a civilized nation.

There’s a candidate in this election that has specific proposals to address the issues that Americans face every day. And not with Musolini-esque pronouncements of “I will fix it” but with actual, solid, multi-faceted approaches that might just begin resolving these deep, intractable problems that face our country.

And behind those proposals is a woman with a lifelong dedication to public service, a steely resolve, and a deep knowledge of how to get things done in our constitutional system of checks-and-balances. A woman who can identify and attract the best talent, harness their abilities, and delegate her authority to people she knows she can trust. A woman who knows that after the acrimony of a hard-fought political battle, the best thing to do is to bury the hatchet and unite together for the common good.

That’s how you do the job of President of the United States.

That’s how you continue and build upon the great work of President Obama.

That’s how you make change.

That’s why everyone should be voting for Hillary Clinton.
